Tatum and Brown Lead Boston to Game 5 Victory

The Boston Celtics are on the cusp of their 18th NBA championship after defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 32 points and 8 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown added 25 points and 7 rebounds.

The Celtics took control of the game early, jumping out to a 17-point lead in the first quarter. The Mavericks were able to close the gap to 5 points at halftime, but Boston extended their lead to 12 points in the third quarter and cruised to victory in the fourth.

The Celtics' defense was stifling throughout the game, holding the Mavericks to just 36.5% shooting from the field. Dallas also struggled from beyond the arc, making just 22.2% of their 3-point attempts.

The Celtics now have a 3-2 lead in the series and can clinch the championship with a win in Game 6 on Thursday night in Dallas.
